How To Adjust The Governor On Massey Ferguson 65

Tractor

The governor on a Massey Ferguson 65 tractor is adjusted through the engine speed. First, locate the idle reference screw, located on the top of the injection pump. Adjust the idle speed to the recommended speed by turning the screw clockwise until the engine runs smooth and the RPM is at an acceptable level. Then locate the speed control knob, located on the injection pump body, and adjust the knob to the intended engine speed. This knob controls the fuel supply and governed maximum engine speed. To reduce engine speed turn the knob counterclockwise, to increase engine speed turn the knob clockwise.
