1. First, make sure the tractor is in a safe position, with the parking brake on, the engine off, and the battery disconnected.
2. Disconnect the fuel line from the regulator and the carburetor, then the regulator from the manifold.
3. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the old regulator from the tractor.
4. Install the new regulator, and make sure all mounting bolts are tight.
5. Reconnect the fuel line to the regulator and the carburetor.
6. Turn the ignition key to the “run” position, and start the engine.
7. Make sure the regulator is providing the correct pressure by comparing the gauge with the manufacturer’s specifications.
8. If everything is working correctly, secure the regulator and any additional parts you may have had to remove during the installation, and turn off the engine.
