How To Add Hydraulic Fluid In 5455 Massey Ferguson Tractor

1. Park the tractor on a flat, level surface and make sure the engine is off and cool.

2. Locate the hydraulic reservoir. It is usually located near the rear of the tractor.

3. Unscrew the cap of the reservoir and check the fluid level in the reservoir with a dipstick or deadman’s float.

4. If the fluid level is low, add the recommended type and viscosity of hydraulic fluid until it reaches the full line on the dipstick.

5. Replace the cap and start the engine. Check the level again to make sure it is at the full mark.

6. Check the hydraulic pressure of the system by turning on the loader or 3-point hitch. If the pressure is too low, add more fluid as necessary.

7. Turn off the engine and recheck the fluid level. If necessary, add more hydraulic fluid and replace the cap.
