1. Make sure the tractor is parked on a level, stable surface and that the engine is turned off.
2. Put the attachment handle of the tiller into the three-point hitch on the back of the tractor.
3. Secure the tiller by tightening the attachment handles and securing with a hitch pin.
4. Move the rockshaft lever on the control arm of the tractor to the forward position. This will raise the tiller to the working position.
5. Push the power take-off clutch to engage the tiller. You will hear a clicking sound if it engages properly.
6. Make sure you have correctly connected the PTO drive belt to the tiller and the power take-off on the tractor.
7. Start the engine and engage the clutch. You are now ready to begin tilling.
