1. Start by ensuring the parking brake is securely engaged.
2. Locate the bleed screws on each wheel cylinder or caliper.
3. Place a container beneath each wheel cylinder to catch the brake fluid that will be expelled during the wheel cylinder or caliper bleeding process.
4. After the wheel cylinder or caliper has been identified, use a wrench to loosen the bleed screw in the wheel cylinder or caliper.
5. Slowly loosen the wheel cylinder or caliper bleed screw until the brake fluid begins to flow into the container.
6. It may be necessary to gently tap on the wheel cylinder or caliper while you are loosening the bleed screw in order to help the brake fluid flow freely.
7. Once the brake fluid is flowing into the container, have an assistant slowly depress the brake pedal.
8. When the brake pedal has been pressed down as far as it can go, have your assistant hold it in that position.
9. Tighten the wheel cylinder or caliper bleed screw and remove the container.
10. Repeat Steps 4-9 for the remaining wheel cylinder or caliper.
11. Once the wheel cylinders or calipers have been bled and all brake fluid containers have been emptied, use brake fluid and a rag to clean up any spilled brake fluid.
12. Check the fluid level and top off the reservoir as needed.
13. Release the parking brake and check that the brakes are functioning correctly.
