1. Begin by safely raising the tractor and securing it in place so that you can access the engine compartment.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the old ignition points and coil assembly.
4. Install the new 1143 ignition according to the instructions that came with it.
5. Connect the negative battery cable and start the tractor to test the new ignition system.
6. Adjust the spark timing according to the specifications in the 1143 instruction manual.
7. Shut off the tractor, lower it back to the ground, and test the spark timing one more time before driving it.
