The Massey Ferguson GC2600 series tractors require SAE 15W-40 CJ-4/E9 or SAE 10W-30 Engine Oil. SAE 15W-40 offers superior performance as well as improved wear protection and viscosity retention. It also offers an improved formulation for tough operating conditions, especially for diesel engines. SAE 10W-30 is also an acceptable oil although its use may result in decreased fuel efficiency. The oil should meet or exceed the requirements of API service classifications CJ-4 and/or the requirements of any B-C-E diesel service classification.
