The Massey Ferguson 135 is a popular agricultural tractor produced by Massey Ferguson from 1964 to 1975. The 135 has a three-cylinder Perkins diesel engine producing about 31 horsepower. It came with 12-volt electrical system, an independent four-speed PTO, and a hydraulically-controlled two-speed rear axle. A live-driven 540 PTO was available as an option, as was a three-point hitch. The tractor could also be equipped with a factory-fitted cab, manual-shift transmission and hydraulic power steering. The tractors used many of the components from the earlier Massey Ferguson 35, but had a more streamlined body shell with a one-piece bonnet/grille. The 135 is still a popular tractor today, as many were well-maintained and are still in service. It is considered a reliable workhorse and is used extensively in smallholder and hobby farms.
