1. Purchase a hydraulic conversion kit for your Massey-Ferguson 240. Make sure to select the correct kit for your model.
2. Disconnect the battery and remove the hood and fuel tank to gain access to the hydraulic components.
3. Install the new hydraulic pump and line it up with the transmission and other components. Make sure all connections are secure.
4. Fit the plastic tubes and pipes onto the hydraulic pump and oil filter, ensuring all connections are secure.
5. Connect the oil lines and pipes to the pump, attaching each one by its dedicated fitting.
6. Bleed the oil system by opening the bleed screw to rid the system of any trapped air.
7. Install the hydraulic lift control valve at the top of the tractor, above the fuel tank.
8. Plug in the switch and mounting bracket, wiring the harness and connecting the electrical components.
9. Fit the hydraulic cylinders to the front-end loader and lower it to the ground.
10.Fill the hydraulic system with oil, and test the system by raising and lowering the front-end loader.
11. Reconnect the fuel tank, hood, and battery.
