How To Adjust Brakes On Massey Ferguson 165 Diesel

To adjust the brakes on a Massey Ferguson 165 Diesel tractor, first ensure the tractor is secure on a level surface. Then, test the foot brake by pressing it firmly and checking the fading point of the brake. To adjust the foot brake, remove the spring clips located on the top of the clevis pins, then loosen the clevis pins. Push the brake levers toward the tractor as far as possible and secure the clevis pins. Reattach the springs and gently press the foot brake several times to check that it is engaging correctly. Finally, adjust the hand brake lever (Brake Lock) by loosening the lock screw and setting the hand lever in the neutral position. Tighten the lock screw and test both brakes to make sure they are functioning properly.
