1. Make sure the tractor has been shut off and the ignition is off.
2. Locate the bleed valve (usually on the bottom of the steering column) and remove the cap.
3. Make sure that a clean container is placed beneath the bleed valve in order to collect the hydraulic fluid.
4. Use a lever, or a flat head screwdriver, to open the bleed valve on the steering column.
5. As the hydraulic fluid leaks out of the valve, drain it into the clean container.
6. Once the hydraulic fluid stops flowing, close the bleed valve.
7. Replace the cap on the valve, and clean off any excess fluid.
8. Start the tractor and check for proper operation.
