1. Place the tractor on level ground and set the parking brake.

2. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the transmission front cover in place.

3. Unhook the clutch cable and any linkage that may be attached to the clutch pedal.

4. Use a jack to support the transmission and place jack stands to steady it.

5. Remove all bolts that hold the transmission clutch-housing in place, as well as the transmission center shaft.

6. Take the clutch pressure plate off the flywheel, and remove the clutch disc.

7. Remove the old throw-out bearing from the center shaft and use a shopvac to clean out any dirt and grime around the center shaft.

8. Inspect the flywheel for any wear or damage and replace if necessary.

9. Install the new throw-out bearing onto the center shaft and use a hammer to seat it properly.

10. Install the new clutch disc onto the flywheel, ensuring that it is properly aligned with the transmission center shaft.

11. Place the transmission release bearing and pressure plate onto the flywheel and tighten the bolts, working from the center outward to ensure even pressure.

12. Reattach the transmission housing, bolts, and all linkage.

13. Reattach the clutch cable and linkage and ensure that it is properly tightened and adjusted.

14. Replace the transmission front cover and all 3 bolts.

15. Test the clutch for proper operation.
