1. Park the Massey Ferguson 35 on level ground and set the parking brake.
2. Allow the engine to cool for several minutes and open the hood.
3. Locate the hydraulic filter on the right side of the engine. The location may vary among models.
4. Slide a container beneath the filter and loosen the bolts holding the filter in place using a wrench.
5. Place a drain pan beneath the filter and twist the filter loose to allow the hydraulic fluid to drain.
6. Lift the old filter out of the engine compartment and discard.
7. Apply a thin coating of hydraulic oil to the o-ring located on the end of the new filter before inserting it into the engine.
8. Twist the filter into position and hand tighten the bolts.
9. Re-fill the hydraulic fluid tank with the recommended fluid and replace the filler cap.
10. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
