1. Start by locating the oil filter. This is usually located at the front or side of the engine near the top.
2. Open the drain plug on the bottom of the engine by unscrewing it.
3. Allow the oil to drain out.
4. Remove the oil filter and discard.
5. Replace the drain plug, as well as the oil filter.
6. Add the new oil. Refer to your owner’s manual to determine the correct type and amount of oil to use.
7. Start the engine and run it for a few minutes to circulate the oil.
8. Check for any oil leaks around the drain plug and filter.
9. Once the tractor has been running for a few minutes, check the engine oil level. Add oil to make up for any lost during the change.
10. Take the tractor for a short drive to ensure that the new oil is properly circulated.
