1. Make sure the Massey Ferguson 165 tractor is in neutral and the PTO is disengaged prior to operating the machine.
2. Turn the key to the “on” position to activate the ignition.
3. Depress the clutch pedal and move the gear lever to the desired gear.
4. Gradually release the clutch pedal to engage the engine and the gear.
5. Apply the brakes to stop the tractor.
6. To engage the four-wheel drive, pull out the dash-mounted lever and shift gears.
7. To activate the power take-off (PTO) lever, press the clutch pedal and move the PTO lever to the engaged position.
8. To move the tractor forward or backward, press the accelerator pedal in accordance with your needs.
9. When done, turn off the ignition, depress the clutch pedal, and move the gear lever into “neutral”—be sure to apply the brakes in order to completely stop the tractor.
