1. Park the tractor on level ground and set the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of and behind the left-rear wheel, to prevent the tractor from rolling or shifting.
2. Shut off the engine and disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
3. Drain the fuel tank. Position a fuel container beneath the fuel tank, and use a siphon or a hand pump to transfer the fuel from the tank to the container.
4. Remove the fuel lines from the fuel tank. Unbolt the fuel return line from the left side of the tank and the fuel outlet line from the bottom of the tank, using a socket wrench.
5. Unbolt the fuel tank from the tractor frame, using a socket wrench and a ratchet. There should be two bolts on each side.
6. Lift the fuel tank off the frame, and lift it away from the tractor.
