Attachments
Using Massey Ferguson back hoe attachments involves first confirming that the necessary components are present, such as an attachments frame, back hoe, power take-off (PTO) shaft, hydraulic lines and cylinders, hydraulic pump and tank, and a hydraulic control valve. After that, mounting the back hoe onto the tractor is the next step.
To do this, the attachment frame should be attached to the tractor using the mounting bracket. The back hoe should then be connected to the attachment frame and PTO shaft, followed by attaching the necessary hydraulic lines and cylinders to the pump. The mounting of the control valve should be the next step, ensuring that the operation levers are in the “off” position.
Then, the back hoe should be connected to the hydraulic system. To do this, the pressure and return lines should be connected between the tank and the valve, and then between the valve and the back hoe. Once these connections are made, the back hoe can be checked for fluid level and engine oil.
Finally, the PTO shaft should be engaged to ensure proper function and the hydraulic system should be operated to check for smooth operation and to ensure there are no leaks. Once all of these steps have been completed, the Massey Ferguson back hoe attachments can be used safely.
