The Massey Ferguson 50 was produced from 1964 to 1979 and came with several varieties of electric systems. In particular, the Massey Ferguson 50 was available with either a 12V or 6V electrical system. The engines for the 12V variety were selected from Continental Motors Company and had a displacement of either 226 or 218 cubic inches (3.7 or 3.6 liters). Additionally, the 12V variety was equipped with electric start, an alternator, and dual-pole switch. On the other hand, the 6V variety was powered by a variety of engines from Continental Motors Company, ranging from 212 to 226 cubic inches (3.5 to 3.7 liters), but only came with manual starting.
