The Massey Ferguson 135 tractor was first introduced in 1965 and continued through 1975. It was the most popular version of the MF 135 line of agricultural tractors and was in production until 1975 when it was replaced with the Massey Ferguson 150. The 135 was the last of Massey Ferguson’s 3-cylinder tractors, incorporating a series of small design improvements that made it a highly sought after tractor. It came in both gas and diesel versions, with the gas version having a 35 horsepower engine and the diesel version a 35.5 horsepower engine. The single-seat 135 was known for its simple design and excellent performance, earning it the nickname “Little Grey Fergie” from farmers in the United Kingdom.
