Combine
To set the guidance on a Massey Ferguson 9770 combine, you will need to do the following steps:
1. Locate the guidance controller. It should be mounted on the combine’s left side and accessible from the cab.
2. Set the Navigation Settings to either “On” or “Off” depending on your preference.
3. Set the Navigation Mode to either “Straight Path” or “Around Curves” depending on the terrain you’ll be harvesting.
4. Use the Track Control Lever to set how far off-center of your intended path the combine should veer.
5. Set the Left/Right Track Angle parameter to specify the exact angle at which the left and right tracks should veer when the Track Control Lever is activated.
6. Enter the length and width of the field you’ll be harvesting so the navigation system can set up the boundaries of your intended path.
7. Set the steering wheel calibration by adjusting the steering wheel so the steering wheel turns in the same direction as the directional arrow on the navigation display.
8. Finally, engage the guidance system and drive the combine forward while the navigation system continuously monitors the combine’s position and keeps it on track.
