It was the first of John Deere’s Maxi line of tractors, featuring advanced technology such as a PowerTech™ diesel engine, CommandARM™ controls, and a deluxe CommandView™ cab. It also featured a full-time four-wheel drive system, an independent 540/1000 RPM PTO, and a mechanical front-wheel drive system.
