What Happened To Massey Ferguson Lawn Tractors

Massey Ferguson lawn tractors were manufactured by the Massey Ferguson Industrial Equipment Division from the late 1960s to 1971. Massey Ferguson entered the lawn tractor market in 1966 with the MF10. This tractor was produced in the US and used a Briggs & Stratton engine. In 1970, the Massey Ferguson lawn tractor lineup was expanded with the MF12 and the MF14HD. These tractors used larger, two cylinder engines.

In 1973, Massey Ferguson divested its tractor business to competitor AGCO, ceasing Massey Ferguson production of lawn tractors. AGCO continued the development and production of the MF brand of lawn tractors, which eventually became the global brand name for all AGCO manufactured tractors. Today, AGCO offers a full range of equipment used for mowing and gardening, including lawn and garden tractors, zero turn machines, and compact utility tractors under the Massey Ferguson brand.
