1. Locate the battery, starter, and starter solenoid on your Massey Ferguson tractor. The solenoid will be mounted near the starter motor.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal first. Make sure that the area around the starter and solenoid are free from dirt and debris, as this may cause damage to the new starter solenoid when installing.
3. Remove the mounting bolts from the starter solenoid.
4. Carefully remove the faulty solenoid and then disconnect the wiring.
5. Inspect the area to make sure there is no corrosion or damage to the starter solenoid mounting bracket.
6. Install the new starter solenoid, making sure that the mounting bolts are properly tightened.
7. Reconnect all wires according to their color code, making sure to tightly secure each connection.
8. Re-attach the battery, first connecting the positive terminal then the negative.
9. Make sure all connections are secure, and test the starter to ensure it is working properly.
