1) Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable.
2) Drain the fuel tank by siphoning it or removing the fuel cap and unscrewing the drain plug.
3) Disconnect the electrical wiring harness from the fuel pump.
4) Remove the mounting bolts that secure the fuel pump to the fuel tank.
5) Clean the mounting surface of the fuel tank with a rag and WD-40.
6) Install the new fuel pump, making sure to use mounting bolts of the same length as the old fuel pump.
7) Reconnect the electrical wiring harness and connect the battery cable.
8) Refill the tank with fuel.
9) Start the engine and check for proper operation.
