The Massey Ferguson 2135 clutch shaft bushings must be replaced when they become worn from overuse, or when the clutch begins to slip. Replacing the bushings is not a difficult job, but it does require a few steps.
1. Set the parking brake and block the wheels.
2. Carefully lift the clutch cover, making sure not to damage any fragile parts.
3. Remove the cluch assembly.
4. Take note of the orientation of the clutch shaft bushings, so you can install the new bushings in the same place.
5. Remove the old bushings from the clutch shaft.
6. Clean the mounting area and apply a small amount of anti-seize compound.
7. Insert the new clutch shaft bushings with a hammer and a block of wood, ensuring they are properly seated.
8. Reinstall the clutch assembly and clutch cover.
9. Test the clutch operation and make sure it operates correctly before driving.
